Carnival Costume

St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival

☀️
‘YELLOW’ in our national flag represents SUNSHINE and SKN has a whole lot of it year round. Young revellers in this segment showcase the vibrant and cheerful nature of our SKN people. A day in SKN is a day well spent. Laughter is often the order of the day so this section will be far from mellow, everyone is always much happier when decked out in yellow.

FEMALE COSTUME – Main attire is a long yellow tights with a cropped yellow halter top. At the centre of the top is the SKN flag surrounded by gold sunshine rays. The backpiece portrays yellow fire wings with tiny rays coming off the shoulder and wrists. The skirt mimics the flow of a yellow jelly fisha and the look is completed with a show stopping sunshine beaming headpiece.

MALE COSTUME – The main attire is a yellow vest with matching yellow shorts. The centre of the vest is the SKN flag surrounded by gold sunshine rays. Tribal yellow cuffs adorn the arm and ankles, while a statement piece depicting the sun covers the head. To complete the look, a yellow staff with spikes and a tiny sun is included.
