Cricket : Andre Browne MVP Of the Harvey Stapleton T-20 Tournament

The closing ceremony of the Harvey Stapleton T-20 tournament, took place immediately after the finals on Sunday 20th March.

The proceedings were ably chaired by the President of the Nevis Cricket Association, Mr. Carlisle Powell.

Andre Browne of the Empire Cricket Club was adjudged the most valuable player of the tournament.

The awards were presented by Sports Minister, Hon. Eric Evelyn, Fr. Allister Rawlins; Asst Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Sports, Mrs. Michelle Rawlins and members of the Nevis Cricket Association’s executive.

The top awards were announced as follows:

Most runs –Marcus Dubbery (255) –  cash  prize and a trophy

Most wickets-14- Rakeesh Subnarine-  cash prize and a trophy

2nd Division runner up –New Vision Togetherness-cash prize

Second Division winner-Highlights Int 2-cash prize and a trophy

Most sixes in the finals (6)–sponsored and presented by Dr- Janice Daniel –Hodge-Tjari Clarke

First Division runner up-Empire Cricket club-cash prize

MVP of the tournament-Andre Browne-cash prize and a trophy

Division one champions—Highlights Int 1-cash prize and a trophy.
