Cricket : Barbados Pride Claim 2025 Super50 Title with Dominant 9-Wicket Win Over T&T Red Force

Barbados Pride have been crowned the 2025 CG United Super50 Cup champions, producing a commanding all-round performance to secure a 9-wicket victory over the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force in Saturday’s final at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy.

The Pride laid the foundation for their triumph with devastating bowling displays from spinner Joshua Bishop (4–27) and fast bowler Dominic Drakes (4–34), who combined to dismantle the Red Force lineup for 168 in 42.3 overs. For T&T, opener Tion Webster led the scoring with 43, while Yannic Cariah added a valuable 35. Amir Jangoo contributed 20, and veteran Jason Mohammed closed out his Super50 career with 12. Matthew Jones (1–18) and Kemar Smith (1–31) chipped in with a wicket each.

Chasing a modest target, Barbados Pride were in complete control from the outset. Captain Kyle Mayers delivered a masterclass, smashing an unbeaten 89 off 79 balls, and partnering with Leniko Boucher, whose well-crafted 50 anchored a commanding 122-run opening stand. Their partnership erased any doubts about the chase long before the finish.

Terrance Hinds (1–44) eventually dismissed Boucher, but by then the result was all but sealed. Zachary McCaskie (19)* joined Mayers, and the pair calmly guided the Pride to 169 for 1 in just 29.3 overs, completing an unbeaten campaign and securing the regional title in emphatic fashion.
