Jonathan Carter and Mickyle Louis hit centuries on the opening day of the 2nd Round of the West Indies Championship.

Carter got 108 not out to power the Combined Campuses and Colleges to 260 for 7 at Sabina Park.

Shamarh Brooks compiled 36 while T&T’s Sion Hackett hit 30.

Zishan Motra was 28 not out and will resume with Carter on the second day of their match at Sabina Park.

At Warner Park, Louis racked up 113 off 221 balls to help the Leeward Islands to 299 for 6 against Guyana Harpy Eagles.

Jahmar Hamilton supported well with 77 for the Leeward Islands while Ronaldo Alimohamed took 2 for 49 for the defending champions.

At Kensington Park, Windward Islands have bowled out Barbados Pride for 214 before closing on 123 without loss.

Ryan John took 4 for 47, while Darel Cyrus (2/41) and Shamar Springer (2/61) shared four wickets for the Windwards.

The Windward Islands cruised to 123 without loss with Jeremy Solozano (63) and Kimani Melius (52) hitting unbeaten half-centuries.

Finally, at Conaree Park, T&T Red Force dismissed West Indies Academy for 163 before closing on 128 for 3.

Teddy Bishop stroked 65 while Jayden Seales(3/26) and Anderson Phillip (3/63) did the damage for T&T.

When the Red Force batted, Vikash Mohan (54) hit his maiden first-class fifty to inspire his team to 128 for 3.

T&T is still 35 runs behind with seven second-innings wickets standing.

The second day of the match is on Thursday.
