Cricket CPL’S Marketing Chief Says There Is A Lot in The Offering for Fans as Tournament Climaxes

Chris Watson, the head of marketing for the ongoing CPL tournament in St. Kitts, is absolutely delighted with the way the tournament has been going so far.

In a recent interview, with Nevisian Sportscaster, Curtis Morton conducted virtually, he noted that it took tremendous effort to coordinate all 33 planned games at one venue in St. Kitts and Nevis, but was grateful for the efforts of the government of St. Kitts and Nevis and to the local fan base.

He was pleased that the matches so far have been generally exhilarating, with several close finishes, including one game that went to a super over finale.

Add to that the fact that the local team, SKN Patriots, won five games on the trot and even though they have stuttered in their last two games, he indicated that they were still well placed for the final four.

As regards revenue for the organizers, he pointed to the fact that even though the fans are important to the tournament, there are other revenue streams that keep the tournament running.

These include but are not limited to sponsors and broadcast revenue.

However, he stressed the importance for the fans to make the most of this opportunity of witnessing this great tournament at Warner Park, as there is no guarantee when such an opportunity will present itself again, in the near future.

He indicated that an online store has been launched and can be accessed at the CPL website-cplt20.com and interested persons can order varying forms of merchandise, as they support their respective teams.

During the latter stage of the tournament, some of the merchandise will be sold at the box office.

Currently, at each game, one fan is selected as the hero fan of the match, for being the best-dressed fan and receives $500.00.
Additionally, another fan receives the award for the Angostura chill moment-a prize of $200.00.

He stated that there will be many more prizes and surprises for the fans, as the tournament climaxes.

Tripleheader games are coming up from next weekend –three games in one day, for rock bottom prices. Fans may be able to pay as little as $15.00 US to witness three games in one day!

He had a special word of thanks for the fans from Nevis, who continue to support the tournament in a huge way and he is encouraging them to catch the ferry and witness the remaining games. He promises an exciting climax to the tournament.
