Cricket : Jets Nose Dives to Empire

Even with a depleted team, the Empire team was much too strong for the lowly rated Jets team, as they faced off on Sunday 26th December, in match two on that day, in the Harvey Stapleton T-20 competition, being hosted by the Nevis Cricket Association.

Empire won the toss and elected to bat first and mainly due to a cameo by Rachad Forde, got to 138 in their allotted 15 overs.
Jets in reply lost early wickets and except for Melicia Clarke, Nevis women’s player, wilted under the pressure from the Empire men, to be skittled out for 58.

Summarized scores: Empire 138 for 7 in 15 overs: Rachad Forde 44; Reon Solomon 22; Ajahni Dida 19; Joel Simmonds 13
Melicia Clarke 2 for 29; Curtis Morton, Senaldo Willet, Kiah Wilkes and Elroy Kelly 1 wicket each

SDA Jets 58 all out in 14.2 overs: Melecia Clarke 18; Curtis Morton 10
Hosea Pluck 3 for 18; Delroy Prentice 2 for 1; Jaden Browne 2 for 0; Manners, Solomon and Prentice 1 wicket each

Empire won by 80 runs
