Cricket : Nevis Over 50’s Make It 3 Nil

The Nevis over 50’s team continued their winning ways in the ongoing series versus their Kittitian counterparts, on Sunday 9th January, at the Sandy Point Recreation Grounds.

Winning the toss and batting, the home team got to 93 for 8 at the end of their 20 overs.

The top scorer was Gary Rogers with 23.

The Kittitian batsmen were undermined in a huge way, by the left arm leg-spin of veteran Frank Monzac, who bagged 4 wickets for 16 runs.

One of the highlights of the day was the fact that the Federation’s Calypso King, Oscar ASTRO Browne, took to the field for the Nevis team and performed credibly.

The Nevis team got off to a flyer in response, with Curtis Morton again leading the way with 42, before he was caught off the bowling of Harwood Williams.

The Nevis team overhauled the target in the 16th over, for the loss of 4 wickets.
