Cricket : West Indies Women A Team go under in match two, as Pakistan Women A take 50-overs series

ST. JOHN’S, Antigua- West Indies Women ‘A’ Team lost the second 50-overs match to Pakistan Women A by 80 runs at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua.

Rachel Vincent struck a debutant’s half-century in the West Indies Women ‘A’ run-chase, stroking seven boundaries in a 109-ball 56.

Vincent told CWI Media “I was really happy and proud to be given this opportunity and I wanted to make the most of it so I went out there and just batted. I’m glad to see that the work I’ve put in, I can see it reflected in the runs today.
Of course, we want a win (in the remaining match) but most importantly this is a developing team and we want to see improvement from the last game so we’re hoping that we can form more partnerships, take more wickets, put Pakistan A under some pressure and hopefully come out with a win.”
