FOOTBALLING TALENT ON DISPLAY IN TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO‏

Manchester City FC Coaches deliver the Digicel Kickstart Clinic in the twin-island republic

Wednesday 11th May 2016 – Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago: Trinidad and Tobago’s top footballing talent was on display at the Digicel Kickstart Clinic, which was held at the St. Mary’s College Sports Grounds.

The sweltering heat did not deter the eager young players who came out and did their best to impress the Manchester City FC coaches. The ability of the players was evident as was their commitment to take on board the learnings from the coaches. Lead coach for the Digicel Kickstart Clinics, Lewis Childs said; “Without a doubt there are some talented young players in Trinidad and Tobago and their creativity and passion were visible throughout the practices as they endeavoured to impress us each and every day.”

The players pushed themselves which made for a highly competitive and exciting couple of days. The coaches then selected the Clinic’s top three players who will move on to the Digicel Academy. These are Jodel Brown, Judah Garcia and Trevis Byron.

The players will join other top players from across the Caribbean and Central America at the week-long Digicel Academy where they will receive another round of intensive training. The boys will then have the opportunity to impress the Manchester City coaches further, in the hopes of being among the top players who will be given the chance of a lifetime to train at the City Football Academy, Manchester City FC’s elite training and youth development facility in Manchester, England.
