PHILADELPHIA, PENNSYLVANIA – With student-athletes from the Charles E. Mills Secondary School ready to attend this year’s Penn Relays, a GoFundMe fundraising campaign has been launched.

“As a proud daughter of St. Kitts and Nevis, now residing in Pennsylvania, I am reaching out with both pride and purpose. This April 2026, our talented student athletes will travel to Pennsylvania to compete on an international stage at the prestigious Penn Relays—an opportunity that represents not only athletic excellence, but national pride,” Teresa Browne-Parris posted on the St. Kitts Nevis Community of PA, NJ & DE Facebook Page.

“For many of these young athletes, this is more than a competition—it is a life-changing experience. It is their chance to showcase their talent, discipline, and determination among some of the best in the world, while proudly representing our Federation,” said Browne-Parris.

Calling on Kittitians and Nevisians in the diaspora community to stand behind the students, she said the GoFundMe fundraising campaign has been launched to help support travel while in the USA, accommodations, meals, and essential expenses for the team.

“Your contribution—no matter the amount—will directly impact these students’ ability to participate fully in this remarkable opportunity. https://www.gofundme.com/…/help-spbs-send-the-cemss…, Browne-Parris said, who called for the campaign to be shared within networks.

“Collective support from our global community will ensure that our athletes feel the strength and encouragement of home, no matter where they are,” she said.

“This is our moment to uplift the next generation, to invest in their dreams, and to demonstrate unity and pride that defines us as Kittitians and Nevisians,” said Browne-Parris.

She used the opportunity to express thanks for the continued support, generosity, and commitment to the youth athletes.
