Hodge and Brookes Score Half Centuries on Day One

The second unofficial test match between the Windies A team and the India A team, commenced at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad, on Wednesday 31st July.
The Windies A team won the toss and Captain Kraigg Brathwaite, opted to bat first.
Brathwaite and Leewards opener, Montcin Hodge, got the innings off to a steady start, before Brathwaite went bowled, with the score on 87.
Shamarh Brookes then joined Hodge and the pair teamed up in a solid partnership, before Hodge perished, having completed his half century, with the score on 149.
Brookes soldiered on to also complete his half century but in the interim, saw Sunil Ambris come and go, in his short stay at the crease.
Jermaine Blackwood looked promising, but only got to 20.
Things were looking a bit dicey at 196 for 5 and the India A team tried their utmost to close out the innings. However, Dowrich and Reifer batted sensibly to be not out at the end of the day and have so far teamed up in an unbroken 47 runs partnership.
