IWPS Upsets STPS

Three more matches were played in the ongoing Primary Schools’ Football league, between Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd November.

On Thursday 1st November, the VOJN team engaged their Charlestown Primary counterparts at the ET Willet Park.

By the time the final whistle was blown, the CPS team had steam rolled ahead with a comprehensive margin of 4 goals to zip.

Scoring for the CPS team were: Andrew Hanley; Aner Palmer; Niza’ial Skeete and Jamoy Parry.

On Friday 2nd November, two more matches were played at the same venue.

The Maude Cross Preparatory School’s team gave it their all, in their match up with the Elizabeth Pemberton Primary, but a few crucial errors in defence, saw them going down 2 goals to nil.

Final score EPPS 2 MCPS 0.

In the feature match of the afternoon, the Ivor Walters Primary shocked the defending champions, St. Thomas’ Primary, with an emphatic 3 goals to nil victory.

IWPS 3 St. Thomas’ Primary nil.

Matches are set to continue at the ETW on Friday 9th November.
