Let’s Play Mas in New York

New York, (Wednesday, June 22, 2016) It is time to play Mas in New York City, at the 2016 West Indian Day Parade with DJ Morrishaw productions and Censational Treasures on September 5th .

This is the third year that DJ Morrishaw productions and the hardworking committee will be making a strong St.Kitts-Nevis presence with the Mas troupe: Gems of the Caribbean on Eastern Parkway for the much anticipated Labor Day parade in Brooklyn.

“This year the costumes are more beautiful and the music will be more hyped than ever before. To see what the costumes look like and get more information on the troupe, please visit www.djmorrishaw.com,” said Chairman of the organization, Mr. Jefroy Morrishaw.

All Mas players are welcomed to represent their country this festival season by joining the Gems of the Caribbean troupe for a small fee, which covers the cost of the costume and refreshments during the parade.

Every Saturday leading up to the parade there will be fundraisers at the Mas Camp at 1184 Grant Avenue, Bronx NY 10465. The committee organizers will host fish fry’s, performances of Caribbean artistes, modeling of the costumes, music by various D.J’s and raffle giveaways of dinners and complimentary 4 day stays at hotels in the Caribbean. The official band launching will be June 25th from 6pm.

Sponsors are welcomed to come on board to assist the Gems of the Caribbean troupe. So far a number of organizations have assisted including ZIZ radio and television and the St.Kitts Tourism Authority.
