Local Basketball League Interestingly Poised

President of the Nevis Amateur Basketball Association, (NABA), Ms Wanda Parry is urging local Basketball fans to turn up at the Grell Hull Stevens Netball Complex to witness the island’s top Basketballers in action.

The league which has been ongoing for a number of weeks now, has reached an intriguing stage with defending champions CG Rebels and Bronx Crisis already qualified for the best of three finals which are set to commence shortly and PJ’S now locked in a battle for third place with the Gingerland based team, Dynasty Ballers.

These two teams will in a one off game this evening at the Complex, tonight, Thursday 12th June to determine the third placed team.

The best of three finals between C G Rebels and Bronx Crisis are set to commence on Tuesday 17th June at the Grell Hull- Stevens Netball Complex.

This weekend will only see one game— On Saturday 14th June there will be a SKNABA fixture between PJ’S of Nevis and IREP CHALLENGERS at 6.00PM at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball Complex.

There will be no game on Sunday 15th June due to the Horse race meet scheduled for that same day.

As regards the recent visit of the Montserrat team, the Montserrat Volcanics, she noted that the friendly exchanges are expected to continue, with the Nevis team set to visit Montserrat sometime in the not too distant future, if plans go well.

However, she is expecting a Nevis team to participate in the LIBA tournament set for Montserrat in December of this year.

In the recent exchange last weekend, Nevis champion team CG Rebels defeated the Montserrat Volcanics by 3 points on Saturday night while on Sunday night, the visitors gained sweet revenge when they disposed of PJ’S with a score line of 81 to 52
