Mandatory Compliance with Labelling Regulations by December 31, 2025

The St. Kitts and Nevis Bureau of Standards (SKNBS) issues a critical reminder to ALL businesses, including roadside vendors, caterers, and local manufacturers:

ALL goods sold in the Federation—whether locally produced, imported, or sold informally—must adhere to the following regulations by December 31, 2025:

Labelling of Goods
Labelling of Pre-packaged Food
Labelling of Bottled Water
Key points:

Roadside vendors must label pre-packaged items with required info (e.g., ingredients, expiry date).
Caterers must label pre-packaged meals and beverages.
Local producers of food and drinks must meet labelling standards for consumer safety.
Non-compliance may lead to fines, product seizures, or suspension of sales.
