MCPS AND EPPS SECURE COMPREHENSIVE VICTORIES

The action continued in the Primary Schools’ Football league on Tuesday 20th October. At the FLATS in Cole Hill, in a B division encounter, The Elizabeth Pemberton Primary School, totally dominated the Jocelyn Liburd Primary school, with a final score line of 3 goals to nil.

The score at half time was 1 goal to nil, with the JLPS defenders trying to keep the eager EPPS strikers away from their goal.
However, in the second half, with some of the JLPS players obviously burnt out, the EPPS strikers made two outstanding run throughs, much to the delight of Headmistress Pemberton and the large EPPS entourage on hand.

Later that same day at the ET Willet Park, the Nevis Academy team engaged their Maude Cross Preparatory counterparts, in a much anticipated encounter.
At half time, the score was 4 goals to nil in favour of the MCPS team and by the final whistle, the MCPS team had added another four goals to claim an emphatic victory with a score line of 8 goals to nil. Captain of the MCPS team, Carlon Tuckett secured a hat trick of goals in the process.

The Nevis Academy’s goal keeper must receive special commendation however, as he played his heart out and may have prevented at least another six goals from being scored.
