Most Remarkable Teen in St Kitts & Nevis Keneisha Liburd, 18 years Gingerland Secondary School Spiritual Commitment

From Baptism until today Keneisha has led a purposeful life dedicated to enriching her christian values. Keneisha wishes to embody the principles of her mother whose spiritual involvement includes attending church on Sunday mornings and studying the bible every morning with her daughter (Keneisha).

In her church, Keneisha plays an active role, she progressed through different levels of her sunday school and was a member of the junior choir for over 10 years. Keneisha is known throughout the Gingerland Methodist Church community for relentless contributions to Sunday morning services. From assisting with the praise team, managing the projector during Sunday services, distributing the order of service leafl ets, and cleaning the worship area, Keneisha has distinguished herself as a valued member of the Gingerland Methodist Church.
She never hesitates to help around the church even when not asked to. She is usually among the first to arrive at church and the last to leave. In addition to Keneisha’s exhaustive list of contributions to her church, she also assists with its fundraising eff orts by preparing and selling pastries.
At the age of 5, Keneisha became a member of the Gingerland Methodist Church 1st Nevis Girls Brigade. There she progressed through the ranks of explorers, juniors, seniors, brigaders, and is presently a youth leader in the company. Keneisha is responsible for the explorers and juniors classes.

Undeniably, Keneisha is passionate about music, she sings, plays the drums and steelpan. Remarkably, she uses all of her talents to worship the Lord. Keneisha is the only female who plays with the 1st Nevis Boys Brigade Marching Band. Keneisha juggles a busy life including teaching steelpan to the members of her Girls Brigade group.
Keneisha’s life is surrounded around her church and community. When not working, volunteering at church, or assisting the Girls Brigade group, Keneisha visits the St. George and St. John Senior Citizens Home. The Clay Ghaut native not only assists her grandmother and great uncle in the home, but she also helps the other residents in need of her assistance.
Holding close to her religious values, Keneisha used the church to overcome difficult situations she encountered as a child, particularly the loss of close family members and her battle with epilepsy.
When asked how she manages to remain spiritually committed in an ever-changing world, Keneisha responded, “Through the grace of God.”
