Neil Lewis-The Ultimate Hero

In the recently concluded masters’ Cricket tournament, played in Antigua, there were several stand out bowlers and batsmen and some great fielding efforts—in part.
However, the absolute super hero of the tournament, was Neil Lewis of the St. Thomas’ team
Although the Antiguans on hand, were quick to state, that his original country of birth, was indeed Antigua.
At the awards ceremony, held at the conclusion of the grand finals, Lewis snatched the following awards:
Highest individual score-92 not out; most runs; most wickets; best bowling figures; MVP of the finals and MVP of the tournament.
During the impressive ceremony, which was ably chaired by Vernon Springer, remarks were made on behalf of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda by Mr. Colin James, who used the opportunity to invite the teams back to the nation’s annual carnival celebrations.
Outgoing president, Alkins Rogers, also used the opportunity to formally introduce, incoming president, Anthony Rawlins and his brand new executive.
Other significant awards:
Best fielding team-Antigua and Barbuda
Best wicket keeper-Joel Simmonds of Nevis.
Second place team –receiving silver medals and a cash prize of $420.00 US-St. Thomas
Champion team-receiving the grand revolving trophy, another trophy and an undisclosed cheque-Antigua and Barbuda
