The Nevis Basketball team returned home on Sunday morning-18th December.

As the team paused for a brief report and update on the recently concluded Leeward Islands Basketball tournament which was held in Anguilla, the team members though looking tired, were all upbeat.

According to President of the local Association, Wanda Parry, who accompanied the team, the team played four matches and lost all four but accredited themselves pretty well.

Captain of the team, Matthew Harding noted that the experience was good for the team and they would have learnt quite a lot during the outing but was quick to point out that they are acutely aware that there is a lot of work to be done, in order to match up successfully with the other teams.

However, the Nevis team returned with three trophies:

The most disciplined team trophy

MVP for the Nevis team-Jenerson France

Most steals-Cheslyn Hutton

The St.Kitts Sugar won the championship by beating BVI in the finals 73 to 57
