CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS — Nevis Pages extends warm congratulations to Visual Arts educator Ashira Hanley and a talented team of students from Charlestown Secondary School following the successful completion of a vibrant new public mural in the heart of Charlestown.
The community art initiative—completed between July 6th and July 9th—was made possible through a collaborative partnership with the Caribbean Children Foundation and TDC Group of Companies. Special recognition was extended to Michael Henville for providing the platform and opportunity for these young Nevisian creatives to bring their visual vision to life in a high-profile public space.
Hanley, a graphic design and media arts professional with a background in information technology, praised her students for their dedication, teamwork, and artistic leadership throughout the multi-day project.
“Art on the island of Nevis is growing! It was a long time in the making, but they did it. The girls are extremely proud of themselves, and so am I,” shared Hanley. “Feel free to stop by and take a few pictures when you’re in the area!”
