Nevisians Feature Big in Leeward under 17’s First and Second Round Matches

The West Indies under 17 regional Cricket tournament, got on the way over the past weekend.
The Leewards under 17 team has won one game and lost one so far and on each occasion, Nevisians have featured quite handsomely.
In game one versus Jamaica, Jamaica batted first and scored 146 all out in 38.1 overs: Steven Weddenburn 58 not out
Nevisian Jaden Carmichael had the amazing figures of 6 for 17 from 10 overs, with 3 maidens
Fellow Nevisian, Akadianto Willet bagged 3 for 28.
Leewards 150 for 2 in 37.1 overs:
Nevisian Anderson Amurdan 55;
Rasheed Henry of Antigua 48 not out and Nevisian T’Jhari Clarke 25
Leewards won by 8 wickets.

There were bitter sweet results for the Leewards team in game two, as they lost to the Trinidad and Tobago team, by a mere 6 runs.
However, Nevisians again excelled:
