ST.PAUL’S TAKES HONOURS AT PARISH LEAGUE BASKETBALL FES’

Sunday 27th March was the date for the exciting inaugural Parish league Basketball festival, hosted and coordinated by the Youth and Sports Department.
The Basketball competition which featured mainly players from the Secondary schools from the various parishes, was held at the Grell Hull-Stevens Netball complex.

All five parishes on the island were represented and the matches were generally, keenly contested.
The results were as follows:

St. George 14 vs St. John 16

St. Thomas 11 vs. St. James 7

St. Thomas 3 vs. St. Paul 17

St. George 9 vs. St. James 17

St. Paul 16 vs. St. James 13

St. Thomas 19 vs. St. John 24

St. Paul 19 vs. St. George 16

St. James 16 vs. St. John 17

St. Thomas 18 vs. St. George 12

St. John 18 vs. St. Paul 19

Each team played a total of 4 games.

Champion: St. Paul’s Parish
2nd: St. John’s Parish
