ST.THOMAS’ PRIMARY ENJOYS GOAL FEAST AND JLPS AND EPPS EARN HONOURABLE DRAW

Two more matches were played in the 2016 edition of the Primary Schools’ Football league, at the ET Willett Park on Wednesday 2nd November.

The St. Thomas’ Primary School totally dominated a very young Maude Cross Preparatory School team, which also had its full quota of female players.

At the final whistle, the scoreline was an emphatic 10 goals to nil but Coach Leroy JUN-JUN Sweeney is promising that his MCPS team just needs two years and it will be dominating the league.

The scorers for the St. Thomas’ Primary were: Al Newton in the 5th minute; Keyano Nisbett in the 15th and 21st minutes; Tyarrie Sargeant in the 8th and 10th minutes; Dwjay Dore in the 2nd minute; Elston Williams in the 17th minute; Tahmarley Wilkinson in the 20th minute and T’jari Griffin in the 25th and 27th minutes.

In the other game, it was a ding-dong battle between the Elizabeth Primary School (EPPS) and the Jocelyn Liburd Primary School (JLPS).

EPPS scored first but the JLPS responded with a goal of their own, in short order which incidentally was recorded as an own goal, as an attempted shot at goal, rebounded from one of the EPPS defenders and went into the goal.

EPPS scored again and just before the game was concluded, in the 27th minute to be exact, Nikolon Liburd for JLPS, bombed home the equalizer.
