The Bring It Swim Team proudly brought home 3 silver medals from the Bayview Pirates Swim Meet in Barbados this past weekend!

The team of six swimmers competed in multiple events, including the 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 50m breaststroke, 50m butterfly, 50m backstroke, and the 100m individual medley (IM). They also joined forces with St. Kitts’ Blue Marlin Swimming Academy for the relays, gaining valuable experience in preparation for the upcoming OECS Championships in November.

Every swimmer achieved several personal bests — a testament to their hard work, determination, and the leadership of Head Coach James Weekes. Special thanks also goes to Coach Annelise Leibbrandt for her valuable support to the team in the preparation leading up to the competition.

Other Notable Performances:

• Austin Williams (13–14): PBs in all events; placed 4th in the 50m breaststroke which also means he made the OECS qualifying time set by the St. Kitts & Nevis Aquatic Federation

• Abhijith Srinivasan (13–14): Outstanding in his first overseas meet; PBs in all events.

• Edith Denne (7–8): 4th in the 100m freestyle; three 5th places in 50m butterfly, 50m breaststroke, and 50m freestyle.
