The St. Kitts & Nevis National Carnival Committee (SKNNCC) is excited to announce that for the 2nd consecutive year, the National Bank Group has officially joined Sugar Mas as the title sponsor of the National Bank Group Folk Galore Competition.
Set to take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025, the National Bank Group Folk Galore Competition will remain free; however, to accommodate the expansion of this popular event, it will be held at a new venue on the Bay Road in front of Rams Supermarket and Courts, downtown Basseterre.
This new venue will offer patrons greater visibility and allow folk troupes to move freely. The National
Bank Group Folk Galore Competition is a vibrant celebration of Kittitian and Nevisian culture and will showcase a rich tapestry of traditional mixed folklore, emphasising the heritage and traditions of our beloved Federation.
The National Bank Group’s continuous support for Sugar Mas is highlighted by a recent presentation where Mr Anthony Galloway, CEO of National Bank and Ms Atisha Byron, Assistant General Manager of NCI, presented a cheque as Platinum Sponsor to Mr Cartel Forde, Executive Member of the SKNNCC.
This significant contribution reflects the bank’s dedication to continuously preserving and promoting our cultural heritage for future generations.
The SKNNCC eagerly anticipates an exciting competition that will showcase the immense talent of over fifteen (15) local folk groups while emphasizing the importance of our cultural identity.
