Tremendous Turn Out at Kite Flying Competition

The covid -19 numbers are seemingly under control, the St. John’s Community Improvement Club (SJCIC), held the usual Kite flying competition, at the FLATS in Cole Hill, on Friday 15th April-Good Friday.

The fans were obviously hungry for the event as there was a massive turnout of individuals and families.

Some came with kites and others were just intrigued, spectators.

There were twenty-six registered kites, but the one that attracted the most attention was one designed as a woman’s undergarment, depicted as size XL.

Not only did it create a stir, but it flew as well and its designer, Arthur Farrell, won the cash prize for MOST CREATIVE KITE.

Four really huge kites also created quite a stir.
