UNDER 17 FINALS INTERESTINGLY POSITIONED

The 2017/2018 edition of the under 17 Football competition on Nevis, is interestingly positioned.

The best of three finals commenced on Friday 26th January at the ET Willet Park.

The game featured the top two teams emerging from the preliminary games-St. Paul’s and St. John’s.

It was a hard fought contest and at the end of regulation time, the scoreline was 1 goal-all.

The status quo was maintained, even at the end of extra time—1 goal –all.

It therefore came down to penalty kicks and St. Paul’s emerged winners with a scoreline of 3 to 2.

The second match is set for Friday 2nd February at 6 pm at the ET Willet Park.

Coach of the St. Paul’s team, SHANGO, is adamant that the second game will be the final one, as his team will ensure that they ‘close out the session, once and for all.’

St. John’s on the other hand is intent on bouncing back and ensuring that there is indeed a game three.
