**Basseterre, St. Kitts** – The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is actively working to improve road safety through targeted enforcement initiatives.
On January 24, 2025, the Traffic Department, led by Superintendent Bradshaw and Sergeant Henry, along with a dedicated team of officers, conducted multiple vehicular checkpoints (VCPs) along the Island Main Road near Johnson Long Path.
This operation took place from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM and resulted in the issuance of thirty-nine (39) traffic tickets for various violations. The offenses detected include:
– Failing to produce a driver’s license immediately – 2 offenses
– Identification mark not conforming to regulations – 3 offenses
– Exceeding the speed limit – 20 offenses
– Driving with a dark-tinted windscreen – 5 offenses
– Driving an unlicensed vehicle – 1 offense
– Driving without an identification mark at the front – 1 offense
– Using defective tires that are showing threads – 3 offenses
– Driving with dark-tinted windows – 2 offenses
– Driving without a valid and unexpired driver’s license – 2 offenses
This operation highlights the Police Force’s commitment to enforcing traffic laws to maintain safe roadways and reduce violations. Drivers are reminded to adhere to traffic regulations at all times, as non-compliance endangers not only their lives but also the lives of other road users.
