BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS — On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) brought its community policing spirit straight to the heart of New Castle, Nevis, where residents welcomed them with open arms.
Commissioner of Police Mr James Sutton, accompanied by members of the High Command and rank-and-file officers, walked through Shaw’s Road and Rawlins Pasture during an evening initiative that proved to be both timely and warmly received. Community members turned out to engage freely, expressing genuine appreciation for the increased police presence and voicing a strong desire to see these walk-throughs become a regular feature in New Castle.
Officers were equally grateful for the candid discussions, constructive feedback, and frank observations shared by residents—highlighting the essence of authentic community engagement.
When residents speak, the RSCNPF listens; when the RSCNPF shows up, communities respond. This open, direct, and human exchange is precisely what fosters the mutual trust needed to build safer neighbourhoods for everyone.
To the residents of New Castle: thank you for turning out and partnering with us.
