Viking Star Makes Inaugural Call To St. KItts‏

BASSETERRE (25th October, 2016): The Viking Star of Viking Ocean Cruises will visit St. Kitts today for the very first time, with a maximum capacity of 930 passengers.

The ship will dock at Port Zante from 8am to 11pm.

Earlier in the year the Minister of Tourism, International Trade, Industry and Commerce, Hon. Lindsay F.P. Grant, had met with the executives of Viking Ocean Cruises at their headquarters in Basil, Switzerland. At that meeting Viking Ocean Cruises committed to making 14 calls to St. Kitts for the 2016-’17 season.

The Viking Star is fitted with cabins that all have balconies. The high-end ship features an infinity pool, a wrap-around promenade deck, and giant windows and skylights that let light stream into the airy interior.

For the 2016-’17 season a total of 16 ships will make inaugural calls to St. Kitts.

This week a total of five cruise ships will visit St. Kitts. Thursday 27th October will see three cruise ships visiting the Federation:

  • The Norwegian Gem with a maximum count of 4080 passengers
  • The celebrity summit with a maximum count of 2450 passengers
  • Norwegian Getaway with a maximum of 5,100 passengers

On Friday the Carnival Fascination will arrive to St. Kitts with a maximum of 2,594 passengers.
