“We Will Put You First Every Time!”

Prime Minister, Philip J. Pierre, who was officially sworn in on Wednesday, has reiterated in posts on Facebook this week, his Saint Lucia Labour Party’s campaign promise to put the people first.

While noting that his swearing-in was a joyous occasion, Pierre nevertheless explained that there’s much work to be done to get this country back on its feet again.

“The task ahead will not be easy, but, together with my team of able, youthful, experienced men and women, we will deliver to the people of Saint Lucia. We will put you first, every time,” the Castries East MP wrote.

“I wish to take this opportunity to thank those who have supported and wished me well on this journey. I hope not to disappoint you. I pledge, together, as one people, we will enhance the quality of life for all Saint Lucians,” Pierre stated.

The new PM, who has a BA (Hons) in economics and a Master of Business Administration from the University of the West Indies, has responsibility for the portfolios of Finance, Economic Development, and the Youth Economy.

On Friday, Pierre’s office announced that attorney, Leslie Mondesir, had been sworn in as the Attorney General of Saint Lucia.

The office also announced that Maundy A. L. Lewis will serve as the Press Secretary to the Prime Minister.

Cabinet ministers will be sworn in on Thursday during a ceremony at the Mindoo Phillip Park.
