A group of under-15 basketball players is currently seeking assistance towards a proposed trip to St. Maarten.
Coach John Spezia has been leading intense training sessions at the Bird Rock Basketball courts in preparation for the upcoming tournament.
The under-15 tournament is set for St. Maarten in October.
In previous years, the tournament has seen participation from such territories as Saba, St. Eustatius, French and Dutch St. Maarten, Aruba, St. Kitts and Antigua.
The players are making progress in their own fundraising, but are appealing to the general public and possible sponsors to assist in making the trip a reality.
Coach Spezia has been involved in Basketball development in St. Kitts for at least two decades and has been instrumental in helping young Basketballers to obtain scholarships for study in the USA.
