More gun violence in St. Kitts

(BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS) – The residents of the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis continue to express concerns about the epidemic of murders, shootings and robberies that seem to be haunting, devastating and causing much sadness to the twin island Federation.

This is as Lincoln ‘Markie’ Liburd the latest shooting victim in St. Kitts was attacked and shot by an unknown assailant in Manchester Avenue, Pond’s Extension in the vicinity of Bractus Shop, today Monday, November 03, 2014.

His attack comes two days after Kevin ‘Broadie’ Newman, a 37 year old popular bus driver, was shot and killed in an area known as White Gate just outside the village of St. Pauls. ‘Broadie’ was killed in an apparent armed robbery.

Newman’s murder has marked the fourth murder on St.Kitts, in a period of four weeks.

Police in St. Kitts are busy investigating these matters that have occurred in such a short period of time.
