Franklyn ( KUT) Daniel

According to president of the Nevis Masters Cricket Association, Franklyn KUT Daniel, his team is determined to regain ‘what is rightfully theirs.’

He indicated on Thursday that the team has started training and practice exercises at the ET Willet Park and will also be engaging in a few practice matches with arch rivals, the St.Kitts masters’ team.
One such match is scheduled for the Conaree Cricket grounds on Sunday 7th May, with at least one return match slated for Nevis, shortly thereafter.

There is also a proposal in place that such matches will be used as fundraisers to assist Eustace BROTHER Wallace, with well needed funds, for medical assistance. Wallace, although from Nevis, has been a regular in the St.Kitts Masters’ line up over the last few years.

Daniel also indicated that the tournament this year will be played in St. Thomas between 25th to 29th May and this year’s schedule of matches, will be even more hectic than previous years, as eight teams have confirmed participation: Antigua and Barbuda; St. Kitts; Nevis; St. Maarten; Tortola; St. Thomas; St. Croix and Anguilla.

Daniel noted that the Nevis team will be further strengthened this year, with the inclusion of Charles YELLOWMAN Hendrickson and Cordell Walters, two of the stalwarts who were missing last year.

Daniel is urging his guys to get into a state of fitness, as he expects a tough and hectic tournament this year.
