Stoney Grove resident charged with cannabis seized onboard local vessel

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Kenneth Thompson of Stoney Grove was formally arrested and charged for the offense of possession of cannabis with the intent to supply to another.

It was reported that on Sunday, the St Kitts-Nevis Defense Force Coast Guard and the Customs Department conducted a search on-board a local vessel. The officers were able to seize 1400 grams of vegetable material suspected to be cannabis that was hidden in Cornflakes boxes on-board the vessel and addressed to Kenneth Thompson.

The cannabis was in a number of transparent zip lock bags and stuffed in Kellogg’s Cornflakes boxes which were concealed with tape.
