BASSETERRE, St. Kitts – The Regional Integration and Diaspora Unit (RIDU) within the Prime Minister’s Office recently welcomed Ms Melanie Maynard, mother of internationally acclaimed footballer Marcus Rashford, along with members of her family, to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

The visit, held in support of an upcoming 2026 initiative, also included representatives from the St. Kitts-Nevis Football Association (SKNFA) and The Village Superstars Football Club. The engagement provided an opportunity to foster meaningful dialogue and explore avenues for collaboration in sports, youth development, and community engagement.
This visit highlights the Federation’s ongoing commitment to strengthening connections with its diaspora and cultivating relationships within the international sporting community. It also reflects the Government’s broader vision of leveraging these partnerships to inspire young people, promote national development, and enhance St. Kitts and Nevis’ global profile.
RIDU remains dedicated to building enduring partnerships that celebrate shared heritage, encourage investment in local talent, and create opportunities that benefit both citizens at home and members of the diaspora abroad.
