Basseterre, St. Kitts and Nevis, November 4, 2026 – The Department of Gender Affairs in St. Kitts and Nevis is pleased to announce a series of activities in observance of International Men’s Month 2026, under the theme “Building Men, Shaping Leaders: Positively Forming Society.”
Throughout November, the Department will spearhead a range of community-based engagements, educational initiatives, health and wellness activities, and public awareness programmes aimed at promoting positive masculinity, strengthening fatherhood, supporting men’s well-being, and encouraging men’s meaningful contributions to families and communities.
The month-long observance seeks to recognise the important roles men play in shaping society while creating opportunities to address issues affecting men and boys across St. Kitts and Nevis.
A Month of Engagement, Empowerment and Community Building
The calendar of activities includes several initiatives designed to foster dialogue, promote personal development, and strengthen relationships within families and communities.
Among the scheduled activities are the Fathers Connect Forums, which will provide fathers with opportunities to engage in meaningful discussions, share experiences, and strengthen their parenting and family relationships. These forums will take place across several districts in St. Kitts throughout November.
The programme will also feature a Regional Webinar entitled “Beyond Financial Provider: What Do Caribbean Men Need?” on November 11, offering an opportunity to explore the broader emotional, social, and developmental needs of Caribbean men.
Other activities include a Financial Wellness Seminar for young professionals, a Men with Disabilities Mix and Mingle, a Legal Aid Information Sharing session focused on supporting fathers and protecting children, and a Men’s Health Fair scheduled for November 27.
The Department will also commemorate International Men’s Day through an International Men’s Day Award Ceremony on November 21, recognizing men who have made meaningful contributions to their families, communities, and the wider society.
Promoting Healthy, Responsible and Positive Masculinity
The Department of Gender Affairs recognizes that investing in men and boys is essential to building stronger families, healthier communities, and a more equitable society.
International Men’s Month provides an important platform to encourage men to prioritize their physical and mental health, embrace positive and responsible fatherhood, foster respectful relationships, and become active partners in community development and gender equality.
The observance will also include a Wear-Blue Day on November 20, under the hashtag #MenForGenderEquity, encouraging individuals and organizations to demonstrate their support for men’s positive engagement in gender equality.
An Invitation to Participate
The Department of Gender Affairs invites men, boys, families, community organizations, schools, businesses, and members of the general public to participate in the activities planned throughout November.
Through collective engagement and sustained dialogue, the Department hopes to inspire greater appreciation for the experiences and contributions of men while encouraging continued efforts to build supportive environments where men and boys can thrive.
As the Department celebrates International Men’s Month 2026, it reaffirms its commitment to the vision of:
“Strong Men | Strong Families | Stronger Communities.”
