The Alliance Française is delighted to invite you on Saturday, October 28 at 6:30 pm to the opening cocktail of “Ladies in the Leaves” an exhibition by the local artist Lizca Bass.

Lizca Bass is a born native of the island of St. Kitts. She graduated from Midwestern State University in May 2016 with a Bachelor of Fine Art. Her work is described as cultural, figurative, playful and personal, it’s her representation of life in the Caribbean. Lizca works in large to medium-scale prints and paintings in various mediums.

She indicates that her work is inspired by the likes of Van Gogh and Degas who impacts her colour choices and subject matter.

Lizca says the Caribbean culture is deeply rooted in the dynamism of the people and their ability to use the natural environment to promote and maintain sustainability.

A selection of her artworks will be exhibited on the premises of the Alliance Française from October 28 to November 10.
