The overall results, in terms of the points standings, are a direct indication of how competitive the sports meet was:
Green House 214 points-champions
2nd Red House-210 points
3rd Gold house (the defending champions) -208 points.
In another jurisdiction, someone may have shouted for a recount!
St. James’ Primary School, held its annual sports meet, at the school’s recreation ground, on Tuesday 7th March.
The joint distinguished patrons were: Ms. TE-Shell Sutton and Mr. Hossein Ottley.
All of the races were very competitive, as the athletes strove for honours in the 800, 400, 200, 150, 100, 1200, 4×100 and 4×400 meters races.
There were also some fun races as well.
There was a fair-sized and vociferous crowd on hand and they stayed right to the finish, which climaxed with a teachers’ balloon race and a former students’ race.
