The Maude Cross Preparatory School (MCPS) staged its annual Road Relays on Thursday, February 19, 2026, drawing strong support from parents, siblings, and members of the wider school community.
As is tradition, enthusiastic spectators lined sections of the route to cheer on the young athletes, creating a lively and encouraging atmosphere throughout the event.
All races began in the vicinity of the school, with students making their way through sections of Ramsbury before returning to the finish area. Distances varied by age group, with the older students taking on the longer and more demanding legs of the course. Participants demonstrated impressive teamwork, endurance, and house pride as they competed for valuable points.
At press time, the names of the top individual placers were unavailable. However, the final house standings following the relays are as follows:
Red House — 392 points
Green House — 375 points
Gold House — 350 points
Congratulations to all participants for their effort and sportsmanship, and to Red House for emerging as this year’s Road Relay champions.
