Charlestown-Nevis-October 10th was designated by the World Health Organization as ‘World Mental Health Day’ and was celebrated under the theme ‘Dignity in Mental Health.’ It is in this regard, that the Nevis Public Library has chosen to highlight the work of professor, lecturer, and honorary consultant psychiatrist, Suman Fernando.
Mr Fernando who hails from Sri Lanka, along with consultant editor, Jo Campling, have produced a comprehensive text entitled ‘Mental Health, Race and Culture’.
This book is available at the Nevis Public Library . It should be an invaluable resource, not only for students and persons employed in the mental health field, but for all persons who are desirous of attaining optimal health.
The Nevis Public Library has therefore indicated that Mr. Fernando is the Author of focus for the month of October
