Cannabis-Related Charges Laid Against Akeem Headley and Randolph Liburd

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) has laid multiple cannabis-related charges against Akeem Headley and Randolph Liburd following a search operation in Nevis.

On February 25, 2026, during a routine search operation at the Vance W. Amory International Airport, officers discovered two air-sealed packages containing vegetable material suspected to be cannabis in the possession of Akeem Headley, an American national residing at Happy Hill Alley, Nevis. The packages had a combined weight of eighty-three (83) grams.

Mr Headley was arrested on suspicion of Importation of Cannabis and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to supply.

Subsequently, officers executed a search warrant at his residence, where they discovered one block of compressed vegetable material suspected to be cannabis concealed in a kitchen cabinet. The substance weighed approximately five hundred and fifty-six (556) grams.

Following this discovery, both Mr Headley and Randolph Liburd, who also resides at the premises, were arrested and formally charged.

Charges against Akeem Headley include:

Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply (two counts)

Importation of Restricted Goods

Importation of Goods Packed to Deceive Customs

Importation of Goods in a Package Bearing a False Description

Submission of a False Declaration to Customs

Charge against Randolph Liburd:

Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Supply

The charges were laid on February 26, 2026, at the Cotton Ground and Charlestown Police Stations.

Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
