Charlestown, Nevis – Patrons at the Nevis Cooperative Credit Union, on Wednesday 18th December, received a pleasant surprise, while they waited in the long line.
Just after midday, they were well and truly entertained by the Coelis choir, directed by Mr. Wayne Moore.
The choir sang a wide variety of Christmas carols and some persons in the line actually forgot about the long line and joined in the singing.
General Manager of the well-known institution, Mr. G. Sydney Newton, indicated that it was a win-win situation for the choir and for the Credit Union.
‘You see, they normally use our conference room for their practice sessions, free of cost and so it’s their way of expressing appreciation.
They were not doing it for money’ Newton stated.
The choir concluded with the singing of the song: ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,’ and received a rousing round of applause from their listeners. It was certainly a unique touch and much appreciated by the customers.
