Contestants for major Culturama 41 shows to be revealed on Friday

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- The anticipation and curiosity for persons who are eagerly waiting the unveiling of the contestants for Culturama 41 will soon be over.

On Friday, June 12, 2015 Charlestown will come alive for the official launch of the Culturama 41 contestants. Executive Director of Culturama, Mr. Antonio Liburd has indicated that this massive launch of the contestants will be at the front of the A. L. Evelyn Building in Charlestown from 4:30 p.m.

With some 41 days left before the official start of ‘de Caribbean’s Greatest Summer Lime!’ Mr. Liburd stated that the contestants are ready to present themselves to the general public.

A total of 16 contestants will be introduced to the general public on Friday. These contestants will be participating in three of the major pageants for Culturama. These are the Miss Culture Swimwear Pageant, Mr. Kool Pageant, and Miss Culture Queen Pageant.

Mr. Liburd indicated that six (6) contestants will compete in the Miss Culture Queen Pageant; five (5) for the Swimwear Pageant; and the Mr. Kool Contests will also see five (5) contestants.

Mr. Liburd pointed out that the participants for the Mr. and Miss Talented Youth Pageant will be launched at a later date. “The students are currently engaged in writing their Test of Standards examinations and we believe that the launch will be a distraction and as a result, the (Culturama) committee has decided to launch those participants at a later date,” he said.

Mr. Liburd announced that plans for Culturama 41 are at an advanced stage. He said that the planning for the festival is progressing smoothly and members of the different committees are working hard to ensure that they deliver a fun and enjoyable Culturama 41.

Culturama will run from Thursday, July 23 to Tuesday, August 4, 2015 under the theme ‘Culture, Fete & Fun! Culturama 41!’
