Nevis records its fourth murder for 2014

(CHARLESTOWN, NEVIS)- Tragedy has hit Nevis once again as the island has now recorded its fourth murder for the year.

The latest victim is said to be Wilson Jones popularly known as Hawk. News reaching this media house indicates that on Sunday, November 16, 2014 sometime after 12:00 a.m. ‘Hawk’ was gunned down while he was standing on the Samuel Hunkins Drive, Charlestown.

He was later transported to the JNF General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

It is alleged that three masked gunmen approached the male and opened fire on him. After committing this vicious act, the attackers then fled the scene in a getaway vehicle.

His deaths follows those of Carlysle Hobson, Clive ‘Uncash’ Walters and Shante Claxton who were all murdered on Nevis for 2014.

This homicide is the eighteenth recorded in the Federation for 2014.

Anyone with information pertaining to the shooting is asked to contact the VCU in Nevis at 469-5391, the nearest police station, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-8477.

Police officers are investigating the matter.
