Old Road Lead NBG/SKNFA Premier League Into Christmas And Carnival Break

The NBG/SKNFA Premier League has entered its Christmas and Carnival break with MFCR Old Road United Jets firmly at the top of the standings, following a flawless opening to the season.

After five matches, the Jets sit on a perfect 15 points, highlighted by a commanding 6–0 victory over TGE Dieppe Bay Eagles on Saturday, December 20, at the National Bank Group Technical Centre. Adondre Eddy opened the scoring in the 5th minute, setting the tone for total dominance. Tiquanny Williams produced a standout performance, registering a hat trick with goals in the 20th minute and successful penalties in the 45th and 54th minutes. Nequan Browne added to the tally in the 37th minute, while Shevene Boston closed out the first-half scoring during stoppage time.

Saturday’s triple-header opened with a tightly contested matchup between SOL IAS Conaree FC and Honda Newtown United, ending in a 1–1 draw. Markenson Hyppolite gave Newtown the lead in the 40th minute, but Conaree rescued a point dramatically when Tijani Fahie converted a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

In the final match on Saturday, Development Bank St. Peters secured a 2–1 win over Azul Cayon Rockets. St. Peters went into halftime leading 2–1 and maintained discipline to secure all three points. Tyquan Tyrell opened the scoring in the 14th minute, followed by Kaleb Bridgewater in the 30th. Davontay Carty pulled one back for Cayon in the 32nd minute.

Despite both teams managing the effects of pre-season sanctions and player suspensions, Village emerged 2–0 winners. Samani Williams broke the deadlock in the 67th minute, before G’Vaune Amory sealed the result with a goal in the 83rd minute.

Sunday’s action kicked off with an entertaining 2–2 draw between St. Kitts Concrete Masters Sandy Point and Tropical Blossom Hotspring Bath United. Sandy Point struck early through Teondre Rouse in the 2nd minute. Bath United responded with goals from Phillron Lavia in the 36th minute and Chris Browne in the 42nd. Sandy Point earned a share of the points when Zarique Bradshaw scored in first-half stoppage time.
