REPORT OF ARRESTS, CONVICTIONS AND OTHER ACTIVITIES

Basseterre, St. Kitts, May 23, 2017, (RSCNPF):  Below is a report of Arrests, Convictions and other activities recorded by the Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force for the period May 18 – 21 May, 2017.

 Arrested/Bailed: Jason Henderson of Keys Village was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply committed on Tuesday 16th May 2017.  He was granted bail inthe sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July.

 Arrested: Devon Wattley of Charles Avenue St. Paul’s was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offences of Possession of Cannabis and Possession of cannabis with Intent to supply.

 Arrested/Bailed: Jason Henderson of Keys Village was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply committed on Tuesday 16th May 2017.  He was granted bail inthe sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July.

 Arrested/Bailed: Oliver Herbert of La Guerite was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply committed on Wednesday 17th May 2017.  He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July.

 Arrested/Bailed: A juevenile of  Newtown was arrested formally charged and cautioned for the offences of possession of cannabis and possession with intent to supply committed on Monday 15th May 2017.  He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000.00 for his appearance at Basseterre Magistrate Court on Monday 3rd July.

 Arrested/Bailed: Rolson Caines of Farms Estate was arrested, formally charged and cautioned for the offence of Wounding with intent, offence committed on Sunday 14th May 2017.  He  was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00 for his appearance at the Charlestown Magistrate Court on Tuesday 30th May. 

 OTHER ACTIVITY: 

Search Warrants Executed: Police executed a number of search warrants during the period of this report. Warrants were executed on properties in the following areas: England Village, Rawlins Grounds, Old Road Tabernacle, Dieppe Bay and Charles Ave (St Pauls).  On Nevis warrants were executed on properties in Cane Garden, Cotton Ground and Rawlins Village.  

Two rounds of .22 ammunition were found during a search in Rawlins, three persons were taken into custody.

Searches were executed in search of illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and instrument that can be used in criminal activity. 

 Search:  Police conducted a search in the Morgan Heights area, Keys Ghaut and Keys Beach for and sign or evidence that could lead to the finding of  missing teenager Leanna Napoleon. 

 Larceny from Dwelling House: Police responded to a report of Larceny from Dwelling House in West Farms. The V/C reported that an unknown person entered the house and stole a bag containing money and keys and left. The V/c is unable to say how the person got into the house as there are no signs of breaking.

 Marijuana Plants Uprooted: A patrol of officers reported that they discovered, uprooted and seized, twenty-one (21) marijuana plants ranging from seedling to one (1) foot in height in the St. Paul’s area.

 House Breaking and Larceny: Police responded to a report of a House Breaking and Larceny.  The V/C reported that the home located on Tucket Street, Ponds Pasture was secured about 9.30pm on Saturday 20th May returned to his home at about 11.30pm that same night and discovered that a number of items including one alcatel cellphone,  $200.00 (ECC) in cash and some food­stuff missing from his house. The investigation continues.

 Building Breaking and Larceny: A report of a Building Breaking and Larceny was also reported at Caribbean Gaming Entertainment / Cage St. Kitts on Fort Street.  The incident occurred overnight Friday/Saturday 20-21 May.  A number of items were taken, scene was processed and the investigation continues.

 Burglary: Police responded to a report of Burglary at Newton Ground.  As a result of the report made officers of the Sandy Point Police Station and Men of the District “B” Patrol Unit respondedThe V/C reported that while in the house someone was seen in the home.  Upon being seen the assailant fled the scene.  Investigations continue.

 Traffic Accidents: There were a number of  accidents on the federation’s roadways in St. Kitts during the period of this report.

 Citizen Safety:  Police continue to conduct Vehicle Check Points and Stop and Searches along the island main road on St. Kitts and Nevis. Officers continue to conduct searches of abandoned properties and lots. The execution of search warrants continue as well. These activities are being conducted in support of anti-crime objectives to remove illegal firearms and ammunition, illegal drugs and other instruments that can be used to commit crimes from our communities.
