The Charlestown Primary School had a close call versus the VOJN Primary school in a match up in the Runako Morton/TDC Primary School Cricket league on Monday. The defending champions were bowled out for a paltry 70 runs and speculations were rife as to whether or not their strong bowling line up would be able to defend the total.
However, that was not to be known, as rain came and effectively washed out the encounter. Both teams got one point each, which was sufficient to propel the CPS team into the semifinals.
The four teams into the semifinal encounters which will be played today Wednesday 6th July, are:
Elizabeth Pemberton Primary v Jocelyn Liburd Primary at 10 am
Charlestown Primary v Ivor Walters Primary at 1 pm.
Both matches will be played at the ET Willet Park.
