St. Kitts & Nevis Wins Prestigious CFATF Award for Best ML/TF Case — RSCNPF Plays Key Role

The Royal St. Christopher and Nevis Police Force (RSCNPF) is proud to celebrate a major national accomplishment on the regional stage.

St. Kitts and Nevis has been awarded the Best Regional Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing (ML/TF) Case (BREMOLT) at the 61st Plenary Session of the Caribbean Financial Action Task Force (CFATF), held in Bridgetown, Barbados, from November 24–28, 2025.

Competing against finalists Suriname and the Turks and Caicos Islands, the Federation captured the top honour with a standout case grounded in rigorous investigative work, strong inter-agency collaboration, and effective use of AML/CFT tools.

Representing the RSCNPF was Inspector Jerry Watt, Head of the White Collar Crime Unit (WCCU), who delivered the winning presentation to the Plenary. His case summary highlighted:

Comprehensive financial analysis conducted by the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU)

Seamless collaboration among the WCCU, FIU, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, Customs, Immigration, and local financial institutions

Regional support from the British Virgin Islands

International cooperation with partner agencies in the United States

Successful prosecution resulting in conviction, fines, and imprisonment

This regional recognition underscores the strength of St. Kitts and Nevis’ AML/CFT framework and demonstrates the high-calibre investigative capacity within the Police Force and its partner agencies.
