The SKN team recently participated in the OECS swim championship held in St. Lucia
President of the SKN Swimming federation-Eldon Thomas, praised the efforts of the entire team which he said performed extremely well.
However, he made special mention of Jonathan Essien and Jennifer Harding-Marlin, who both secured bronze medals in their age categories.
The St. Kitts-Nevis team placed 5th overall.
He commended the coaches who worked with their team members.
He noted that the swim program is growing by leaps and bounds, but made an urgent call for the government to ensure that the swimmers have a pool in which to train and develop.
He thanked all the individuals and institutions who helped to make the trip to St. Lucia possible.
